What are the Emergency Codes of our establishments?

EXTERNAL DISASTER
If you are anxious and do not understand the instructions:
You must leave the premises in order to allow the staff to carry out their duties.
If you feel you can help and be useful:
As soon as you hear the alarm, please head to the Nurses’ Station and wait for instructions from the Team Leader.
Important
In case of a fire:
If you notice a fire in the area where you are, please Stay Calm and above all do not scream “Fire”.
Use the Fire Alarm Station.
Inform the staff immediately and head towards the Nurses’ Station.
In the event of a suffocation:
If you see a resident choking:
You must advise the staff immediately(you can call for help or dial 0).
You may perform the Heimlich manoeuvre while waiting for help.
However, if you are not comfortable performing the Heimlich manoeuvre, do not tend to the resident because you can cause more harm than good. In this case, please call for help and stay by the resident’s side.
In the event of a Cardiac Arrest:
If you witness a resident falling and passing out in front of you. You must inform the staff immediately.
When the staff arrive on the scene, do not block the passage and do not stay in the way, in order to facilitate the work of the staff. If you are able to administer CPR to the resident, advise the staff immediately and subsequently perform CPR. If you cannot perform CPR, do not touch the resident.
For any other code:
Stay calm
Advise the staff immediately and wait for instructions
You may leave the scene if you are not comfortable participating in emergency response.
At Any Time
You must follow the instructions of the responders in order to allow them to respond to the emergency in an efficient manner.
